Kitchen Toys

As more and more food is sold in instant packages today, it is less clear from what materials these products are made of. Children love toys, so I have made four pieces of kitchen toys for children. For each kitchen toy you use a piece of fruit or vegetable. By playing with the kitchentoys you will learn how for example potato crisps are made.

Applesauce pistol

-core one or more apples
-Boil the apples until they are soft
-Pull the black button on the applesauce pistol backwards
-Pull the lid open and put a cooked apple in the pistol
-Close the lid
-Point the pistol at your plate or in a bowl and squeeze the handle several times
-You have squeezed the apple to applesauce now.
-According to your taste you can add cinnamon or sugar.

Applepart canon

With this device you can shoot an apple in segments and core it at once

-Clean one or more apples
-Remove the front part of the canon and push an apple with the core at the tip.
-Clamp the apple by using the handle on the back.
-The apple now disappears inside.
-Place the front part by using the clips on the side of the canon.
-Pull the release and the apple shoots trough the knife at the front, you can eat the appleparts directly.

Juiceturner

With this device you can make orange juice.

-Put a glass underneath the press.
-Turn the handle to open the press
-Put an orange inside the press and turn it back
-You split and squeeze the orange now.

Chipsshooter

With this device you make potato crisps.

-Put a potato in the clamp at the front
-Turn the handle to rotate the big drum
-The drum has a plane that cuts potatoes into thin slices.
-The slices fly of at the side
-Throw the slices directly into a bowl with cold water and put it in the refrigerator for two hours
-Put a layer of oil (about 5 cm.) In a deep fryer. Pour the potato slices off and dip them thoroughly dry. If the oil reaches 160 degrees Celsius (the temperature is very important!), you can add a handful of ' potato crisps ' (important: don’t put too much inside the pan)
-Stir the potato crisps with a wooden spoon, heat the oil to 180 degrees Celsius. Once the  potato crisps are golden brown, remove them and let them leak on kitchen paper.
-Bake no longer than 1 ½ minute, don’t let them get brown.
-Repeat this process with the rest of the potato slices. If everything is fried, straw sea salt or paprika powder and serve.
